Woven in the heart of England on machinery over a century old, we took jersey back to its roots and developed our own bespoke cotton fabric at Illicit Bloc Mills.
From the beginning, our goal was to be fully hands-on with production, obsessing over every detail and understanding how every garment begins life.
Our journey started in the knit house. Unsatisfied with the standard off-the-shelf fabrics available to us, we hand selected our own yarn cones and took control of the very machine that would shape our identity.
After experimenting with various weights and weave techniques, we created a unique diagonal-knit cotton that has become the DNA of our brand, now at the core of nearly every garment we make.
Once garment-washed, our cotton develops rich character and depth, while retaining its structure and shape. Built for longevity, it is designed to withstand years of wear, growing in character with every use.
